Kjartan is an active member of the National Search and Rescue Team and is always ready to go on the field, even with a short notice. On a daily basis, he is a project manager in the construction field but uses all his free time in the mountains, either guiding or for a personal enjoyment.
Some of his favourite activities are crossing Icelandic glaciers on cross country skis, mountain skiing, ice- and rock climbing, mountain running and of course mountain biking. He is also a wonderful photographer who as a bonus brings his camera on the trips he guides.
