All year around fat bike adventure in the area of Mt. Hekla, one of the most active volcanoes on earth

You get to experience astonishing Icelandic countryside that keeps changing before your eyes as you bike further.

Vast meadows overlooked by snow-capped volcanos, waterfalls and glacial rivers that spreads in wide, black plains around you.

The biking passe mainly on gravel roads as well as on earthy/grassy tracks. Waterfalls abound, including crossing a glacial river.

The village of Hvolsvollur lies at the gateway to Katla Geopark, an area of Iceland specially recognised as containing a supreme collection of natural wonders. We strongly recommend you to visit the Lava museum where you have a fantastic inside story and experience of the Icelandic volcanoes.

If you stay in the area until after the tour the perfect way to end the day is to visit the village thermal pool and experience Iceland’s healing energy at the same time. A healthy swim and a soak in the hot jacuzzi leaves you feeling in tune with body and soul. At the same time you´ll get a change to chat with the local´s from the village. They are usually willing to chat and are generous of sharing all the local´s secret places and good plans. Given these points, it is highly recommended!
