Despite her young age Rakel has become one of Iceland’s most experienced certified female mountain guides.
She has years of working and training experience with the Icelandic Rescue team and is a member of AIMG of Iceland. She spent two years as a chairman for one of the biggest SAR-team of Iceland and is a part time teacher for them in the Icelandic wilderness and has extensive training in advanced search and rescue techniques.
This young adventurer spends most of her time outdoors, if not guiding then for her own pleasure. While others rest between working hours, she goes out for a shorter or longer ice- and rock climbing, ski- and bike tours.
She enjoys every facet of life, is always in a mood and excited to share her love of the mountains with her groups. You will be in a very good hands with Rakel if you could happen to meet her in any of our tours.
